The Butterfly Lion is a heartfelt story that is about a small boy that ran away from boarding school. When he runs away he meets an old lady , Millie. She invites him into her house and tells him about the amazing story about a boy called  Bertie and his relationship with the orphaned lion. But as Bertie grows he gets sent to school in England and his lion gets sold to a circus  where he becomes the white prince. When he arrived he ran away from school meeting Millie as a small girl.
Bertie grows and he becomes a soldier in the first world war. He saved two men in the war earning him the Victoria Cross.  One day Millie was pushing him in his wheelchair when they saw an old circus poster, It was the same circus that bought his white lion! Read the book to find out if Bertie was able to find his lion and how the White Prince became the butterfly lion.











Lesson:
The lesson is about friendship and how to never give up on something or someone you love.




 My Feelings:
I think this book is an absolutely amazing story. It made me feel happy , excitement , relief , anger and at one point it even made me cry! And the ending will definitely shock you.

The Grade 4 Camp

Last week we were on camp.We went to Simonsberg Christian Center.  We left school and the first stop was the Giraffe House.There were loads of animals there were zebras, caracals,servals,snakes,llamas, spiders,goats and of course giraffes.There was a reptile show. There was a massive 5 meter albino Burmese python.I got to kiss a frog.And at the end of the reptile show we had ice cream.  We then got back on the bus and traveled some more to Simonsberg. Our visit to the Sinai Academy

Our Visit To The Sinai Academy Last week we visited the Sinai Academy in Bloubergrant. It was a very interesting experience. All of the boys wore kippahs. The Rabbi was a very nice man and showed us the prayer shawl which he put over himself he said that he prey’s under it and it blocks out everything around him. Which helps him focus on God. He then blew the shofar to show us what it sounds like. But in the Jewish religion they usually only blow it on Rosh Hoshanah which is the Jewish new year. On our way out we got to see the Torah which is in the ark the Torah is like the Jewish bible. We then went to the Senior Primary and sat down at tables with challah bread and grape juice. We watched a video and the children spoke prey’s in Hebrew. We then gotta eat the delicious challah bread and grape juice. And on every door post there is a thing called a mezuzah with prey’s from the Torah rolled up inside. The Sinai Academy is named after Mount Sinai That Moses died
